Team building

We don't do trust falls.

Done well, team building is diagnostic. You give a team a real-enough problem and watch how it actually makes decisions under mild stress — who steps up, who waits, where communication breaks. The team learns something about itself that the office doesn't reveal.

Done badly, it's an awkward day everyone tolerates and forgets. We design exercises that surface real dynamics, not exercises that make people clap on cue. The Mediterranean isn't the point — it's a tool. A team negotiates differently on a sailing regatta than around a meeting table, and that difference is the work.

How we work

Briefing first — what does this team actually need? Programme designed against that brief and run with qualified outdoor trainers and coaches. Group sizes from twelve to several hundred. Our format library (sailing regattas, GPS challenges, beach olympics, chain reactions, paella workshops, jeep rallies) is the toolkit. The assembly is built for the group.

Where this happens

Frequently asked questions

What does a team-building programme actually involve?

A briefing call where we ask what the team actually needs — not which activities you want. From there we design exercises that surface real dynamics, run by qualified outdoor trainers. Format depends on the brief; sailing, GPS challenges, cooking and chain reactions are the toolkit, not the menu.

What group sizes work for team building?

Twelve to several hundred. Below twelve, you're better off with a facilitated workshop, not a team-building day. Above two-fifty, the design problem becomes managing parallel tracks, not the activity itself.

How long should a team-building programme be?

Half a day is the minimum for the format to work. A full day adds depth without diluting it. Two days is the sweet spot when team building is the point of the trip; longer than that, you're really running a retreat.

Can you run team building in English, German or Spanish?

All three. Trainers are bilingual minimum. Bilingual or trilingual mixed groups are routine — we brief the trainers on which language to default to and which to switch into when energy drops.

How is success measured?

Honestly: by what the team does the week after, not the smiles on the day. We don't promise transformative outcomes from a single programme — anyone who does is selling you a feeling, not a result. We can run a brief debrief two weeks after the event if useful.
